Feature: How To Make A Bouquet & Matching Boutonniere

If you tend to stress about last minute details or you just like to have your hand in every detail of your wedding, then making your own bouquets and boutonnieres may seem like a no brainer.  Afterall, you get to make them as far ahead of time as you want and you don’t need to worry about them dying……that is if you are using artificial flowers!

I suppose you could make your own using fresh flowers but that is not what this post is about.  I shudder to think about a project such as this being done at the last minute…..no thank you!

Today’s feature comes from The Wedding Chicks and they show how to make a bouquet and a boutonniere that use the same type of artifical flowers.  However, they are both so beautiful that no one is even going to notice that they are silk versus real.  Plus, since they are silk, they can be saved as a memorable keepsake, in full form, instead of pressed between pages of paper!

First I will show you the bouquet:

Can you even tell that the flowers are not real?  Well, if there wasn’t the big label at the bottom saying “How To Make A Fake Flower Bouquet”!  I love how all of the stems are wrapped in birch bark – one of my favorite things!
